Candidature
CANDIDATURE
Candidates to the Salvatorian Sisters are women who feel a calling from God to follow Christ in a radical and loving way—through a life of prayer, community, and service. They are discerning whether to become part of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior, founded by Blessed Francis Jordan and Blessed Mary of the Apostles, with a mission to make the Savior known and loved by all people.
These women are in the initial stage of formation, known as candidature. This stage allows them to:
- Deepen their relationship with God,
- Learn more about Salvatorian life,
- Experience community living,
- Serve in ministries aligned with the Salvatorian mission.
Anyone seeking admission to the congregation must give evidence of a satisfactory knowledge and living of the Christian life and a maturity consistent with her age. The candidate should show signs of an ability to live in community, a willingness to make the changes in her life that are necessary to follow Christ more closely, and an attraction to apostolic service and the Spirit of the congregation.
